State insurance commissioners told the Senate health committee Wednesday (Sept. 6) they want Congress to fund the Affordable Care Act's cost-sharing reduction payments for preferably more than two years. They also asked for more control over their state insurance markets and simplification of the 1332 waiver provision -- including a shortened waiting period and authority to let governors apply for the waiver without approval of their legislatures.
