Idaho Supreme Court To Hear Lawsuit Challenging Medicaid Expansion

The Idaho Supreme Court agreed on Monday (Dec. 3) to quickly hear a case seeking to block the implementation of the state’s Nov. 6 ballot initiative in which 61 percent of the state’s voters chose to expand Medicaid. The court ordered the state to respond to the lawsuit within three weeks and scheduled a hearing for Jan. 29 -- just before the mid-February deadline for the state to submit paperwork to CMS allowing it to implement expansion.
