HRSA Proposes New Documentation Rules For 340B STD Clinics

The Health Resources and Services Administration wants sexually transmitted disease and tuberculosis treatment clinics to document they receive federal grants when registering for or seeking recertification within the 340B drug discount program, a proposed change seemingly in response to ongoing legal challenges from drug companies that claim STD and TB clinics that receive in-kind support rather than direct cash grants should not be allowed to participate in the program.
