House Passes Bill To Increase Reagan-Udall Foundation Funding

The House on Wednesday evening (Dec. 8) passed 374-52 a bill that would increase the amount of funding FDA and the National Institutes of Health can give to their respective research foundations. One of the bill’s sponsors previously asserted the additional funding could be used to help strengthen private-public partnerships, like NIH’s Accelerating COVID-19 Therapeutic Interventions and Vaccine (ACTIV) program, which helped accelerate drug and vaccine development during the pandemic.
