HHS and the U.S. Department of Education are demanding medical education organizations implement nutrition education and training in an effort to help prevent chronic disease, and ask the organizations to submit their written plans by Sept. 8 -- but the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) says nearly all U.S. medical schools already cover nutrition, though they could improve the curricula.
