Gottlieb Launches FDA Opioid Policy Steering Committee

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb took his first steps to more forcefully tackle the opioid epidemic by setting up an Opioid Policy Steering Committee comprising the agency's senior career leaders. Gottlieb made the announcement Tuesday (May 23), the same day that FDA released its fiscal 2018 budget justification as a supplement to President Trump's fiscal 2018 budget.
