Gottlieb Announces New Steps To Cut Down On Flavored E-Cig Sales

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb announced new policy proposals that he expects will effectively ban some flavored e-cigarettes and cigars and restrict others from being used by minors. The proposals will require certain manufacturers of electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) products such as e-cigarettes to submit premarket applications to FDA by 2021, and subject manufacturers and retailers that sell flavored ENDS products without marketing authorization to FDA enforcement.
