Georgia Becomes Latest State To Push For Partial Medicaid Expansion

Georgia will join Utah -- and potentially other red states -- in asking CMS to approve a so-called partial Medicaid expansion with the enhanced federal funding that historically has been reserved for states that opt to fully expand Medicaid. The proposals will test CMS’ willingness to authorize a Medicaid policy that likely would increase costs for the federal government and has generated opposition from some on the right and the left.
