FDA Finalizes Delay Of Nutrition Facts Labeling

FDA on Thursday (May 3) finalized its plan to extend the compliance date for the nutrition facts labeling and serving size labeling rules. The Center for Science in the Public Interest, which to date has taken a combative role toward FDA’s extension of nutrition-related compliance dates, urged manufacturers to implement the new changes in short order, regardless of the extension.
