FDA: Ages 18-49 Should Wait For BA.4/5 COVID Boosters This September

FDA says it will not authorize a second booster dose of the original COVID-19 mRNA vaccines for people ages 18 to 49 and will instead focus this fall on pushing out booster shots that target the BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron subvariants, an agency spokesperson told Inside Health Policy .
