E&C Panel Clears Eshoo’s Bill That Would Place ARPA-H Within HHS

The House Energy & Commerce health subcommittee on Wednesday (May 11) passed by voice vote subcommittee Chair Anna Eshoo’s (D-CA) bill that would make the newly authorized Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health an independent agency within HHS, seemingly overriding HHS’ recent decision to put ARPA-H under the National Institutes of Health.
