CMS Punts On Opening Preferred Networks Until Further Analysis Completed

CMS will not move forward with opening up preferred networks to allow any willing pharmacy the chance to offer preferred cost-sharing, as the agency says in the final Part D rule released Monday (May 19) it needs to further study preferred cost-sharing practices to reconcile conflicting stakeholder reactions to the agency's original proposal.
