CMS Proposes Repeal Of Medicare Breakthrough Device Coverage Rule

CMS on Monday (Sept. 13) proposed to repeal the Trump-era Medicare breakthrough device coverage rule because of concerns the rule could pose preventable patient safety risks by forcing CMS to immediately cover devices going through the speedy FDA approval path, and CMS plans to go back to the drawing board on the rule.
