CMS Lays Out Legal Justification For Pivotal Shift Allowing Medicaid Work Requirements

The Trump administration told state Medicaid directors and governors Thursday (Jan. 11) that requiring able-bodied adults to work or participate in community engagement activities fits into the objectives of the Medicaid program because the move will promote the physical, mental and emotional health of beneficiaries.
