CMS Approves Oregon Reinsurance Waiver After Earlier Mixed Signals

CMS on Thursday (Oct. 19) approved Oregon's 1332 waiver request allowing pass-through federal funding to support a state reinsurance program starting in 2018, which state officials say has already lowered rates by 6 percent.
