CMS Again Extends Non-Emergency Ambulance Prior Authorization

CMS on Tuesday (Nov. 4) again extended the prior authorization program for non-emergency, repetitive ambulance trips. The program was extended for an additional year, through Dec. 1, 2019, in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and D.C.
