CMS To Address Short-Term Plans, RA Changes In Guidance To Improve Risk Pool

CMS on Wednesday (June 8) said it will advance changes to the risk adjustment program as early as the 2017 plan year, and it proposed a rule to further regulate short-term coverage that does not meet the Affordable Care Act's standards. The agency is moving ahead on several initiatives it hopes will bolster the exchange risk pool before the fourth open enrollment period begins in November.
