California Insurance Commissioner David Jones said Tuesday (Aug. 1) he would file suit against the Trump administration if it stops the ACA's cost-sharing reduction payments because California consumers would see their rates doubled. The warning came as the nation's largest state-based health exchange announced a proposed 12.5 percent weighted average increase for their individual market plans, but said that would jump by 12.4 percent for Silver plans if the CSRs are stopped for 2018.
