Basic Health Plan Lawsuit Heading For Dismissal After HHS, NY, MN Agree On Payments

HHS has agreed to pay New York and Minnesota a combined $170 million in basic health plan (BHP) payments by next Monday (May 14) and to publish a revised BHP payment methodology by July 2 as part of an agreement leading to dismissal of the states’ lawsuit over HHS’ earlier move to cut cost-sharing reductions from BHPs.
