Health care stakeholders are worried an executive order issued last night pausing federal grants could have far-reaching implications for Medicaid and CHIP funding, the federal vaccine program for children, and more; Joan Alker, executive director of the Center for Children and Families (CCF) at Georgetown University, called on the administration to “issue an official statement immediately clarifying that Medicaid and CHIP funding would not be affected by this memo.”
