Eleven Senate Democrats penned a letter Monday (May 22) to FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb urging the administration to stand up to special interests and ensure FDA enforces the original compliance deadlines for the May 2016 tobacco deeming rule. On May 10, FDA issued final guidance extending certain deeming rule compliance dates by three months -- a decision the senators said they have “serious concerns” with.
