Novartis Settles False Claims Allegations For $642M

Novartis will pay $642 million in separate settlements with the HHS Inspector General over alleged violations of the False Claims Act, the IG announced Monday (July 6) . The company will pay $591 million to settle claims that it paid kickbacks to doctors to get them to prescribe several Novartis drugs.
