New York Announces Open Enrollment Dates, Participation

New York’s health insurance exchange will hold its open enrollment period for new consumers from Nov. 1 through Jan. 31, New York State of Health announced last week, making it one of several state-run exchanges on a different schedule than the federal government. The exchange also said it intends to send renewal notices to the 500,000 households with existing exchange coverage later this month, and will renew coverage starting Nov. 16.
