National Uninsured Rate Unchanged During Trump Administration's First Year, State Levels Vary

The national uninsured rate held steady at 8.8 percent from 2016 to 2017 despite federal uncertainty surrounding the Affordable Care Act, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
