Michigan To End Medicaid Expansion Unless CMS OKs Work Requirements, Premium Hikes

Michigan submitted an 1115 waiver request to CMS Monday (Sept. 10) that would allow the state to impose work requirements and raise premiums for beneficiaries who gained coverage through the state’s Medicaid expansion, and if CMS denies the request, the state plans to end Medicaid expansion altogether.
