Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) introduced legislation on Monday (May 20) that would raise the national minimum age to purchase tobacco products from 18 to 21. The legislation, Tobacco-Free Youth Act, is similar to other bipartisan bills introduced in recent months that aim to raise the minimum age of purchase to 21.
