Maryland 2018 Obamacare Signups Similar to 2017 Despite Shortened Enrollment Window

Nearly 154,000 Marylanders signed up for private health coverage for 2018 on the Maryland Health Connection, the state-based Affordable Care Act marketplace, which is roughly on par with last year's numbers despite the fact that the enrollment period was half as long as it was a year ago. The state also reported on Thursday (Jan. 4) that average daily enrollment in qualified health plans was up 69 percent compared to the prior open enrollment period.
