House Ways & Means Continues Opioid Probe With Second Hearing

The House Ways & Means Committee is continuing its probe into the opioid crisis by scheduling a second hearing, this one by the health subcommittee Tuesday (Feb. 6). The subcommittee will examine opioid dependence and overprescription among Medicare beneficiaries, panel chairman Peter Roskam (R-IL) announced Wednesday (Jan. 31), one day after President Trump pledged in his State of the Union Address to fight the opioid epidemic.
