House Passes Industry-Friendly Menu Labeling Bill For Second Time

The House on Tuesday (Feb. 6) again passed Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ (R-WA) Commonsense Nutrition Disclosure Act, which would loosen the Affordable Care Act's menu labeling requirements for certain food establishments. While the bill is widely supported by food industry groups, the Center For Science in the Public Interest says the bill is a give away to the pizza industry and would undermine the ACA requirements.
