HHS Report: ACA Repeal Would Impede Fight Against Opioid Epidemic

The Affordable Care Act has buffered the opioid crisis, HHS reported Jan. 13 in an issue brief that analyzes the health care law's expansion of mental health parity. The issue brief credits Medicaid expansion for cutting the uninsured rate of low-income people who have mental illness or abuse drugs.
