Senate Democrats want Trump administration officials to explain whether they turned down a chance to buy 100 million more doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus. The New York Times reported last week that the administration in the summer declined the option to pre-order an additional 100 million vaccine doses, which means the country might face a “vaccine cliff” this spring once the first order of 100 million doses runs out.
