CMS Strongly Recommends Hospitals Cancel Elective Procedures

CMS is strongly recommending hospitals and their patients forgo non-essential medical and surgical procedures to avoid using resources and staff that could help treat coronavirus during the growing pandemic, Administrator Seema Verma announced in a briefing Thursday (March 18) with the coronavirus task force.
