CMS OKs Rhode Island’s 1332 Waiver For Reinsurance

CMS has approved Rhode Island’s request to establish a reinsurance program partially funded through federal pass-through dollars generated by the savings to the federal government. Rhode Island’s application was the final pending 1332 waiver for the 2020 plan year; the agency in recent weeks approved reinsurance waivers for Colorado, Montana, North Dakota and Delaware.
