Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) introduced legislation this week, backed by the doctor-owned hospital lobby, to repeal the ban on physician-owned hospitals that was enacted in 2010 as part of the Affordable Care Act. Rep. Sam Johnson (R-TX) in February introduced the House version of that bill, the Patient Access to Higher Quality Health Care Act.
