CDC Publishes Salmonella Feed Paper

AFIA has cooperated with FDA for over a decade on this issue and participated in the U. S. Animal Health Association's Feed Safety Committee. FDA continues to collect feed and ingredients samples to test for Salmonella. Although supportive of the agency's database building, AFIA is concerned over CDC's recommendations.

CMS today (Oct. 31) released details of its final 2003 Medicare rates for hospital outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) services. The final OPPS rule is to be published in the Federal Register Nov. 1.
