Avalere: Graham-Cassidy Bill Cuts $489 Billion To States By 2027, More Than $4 Trillion By 2036

The latest GOP Affordable Care Act repeal-and-replace iteration would cut federal funding to states by $215 billion by 2026 and more than $4 trillion over 20 years, a new analysis by Avalere Health projects. Because the financing of health care would shift to block grants that would need offsets each time Congress reauthorizes the spending, those cuts are estimated to jump to $489 billion by 2027.
