Anthem To Stay In 68 VA Exchanges For 2018, Reversing Earlier Decision To Pull Back

Anthem won’t exit the Virginia counties where the carrier last month announced it wouldn’t offer exchange plans for 2018, which would have left around 60 cities and counties without an option for coverage on the individual market. The company said Friday (Sept. 15) that it will continue to offer on-and-off exchange plans in 68 Virginia counties and cities, maintaining coverage options for up to 70,000 people.
