Becerra: Congress Needs To Permanently Extend Some Telehealth Waivers

SAN FERNANDO -- HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said at roundtable on Latino mental health Tuesday (Nov. 1) that Congress needs to permanently extend some of the pandemic telehealth waivers as the administration “is strapped because of the statute.” His comments came the same day CMS issued a final 2023 Medicare physician pay rule that administratively extends some but not all telehealth waivers until the end of 2023.
