CDC Says Monkeypox Transmission Slowing, But Elimination Unlikely

Monkeypox is not likely to be eradicated in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says in a newly released technical report on the course of the outbreak, but the virus’ spread also appears to be slowing -- with transmission likely to remain concentrated among gay and bisexual men, and lower levels of new cases expected in the upcoming months. “Domestic transmission in the United States is unlikely to be eliminated in the near future,” CDC concludes...
