Nursing Homes Ask HHS To Extend PHE Beyond October

Nursing homes are joining hospitals in asking HHS to renew the public health emergency beyond its’ current expiration date of Oct. 13, but the long-term care facilities also want CMS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to loosen their strict requirements around masking, testing and isolation due to their effect on patient’s quality of life.
