Hassan To Admin: Expand Surprise Billing Ban To More Facilities

Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan (NH) is urging the Biden administration to broaden its implementation of the No Surprises Act to apply the law to any facility where a patient is at risk of being balanced billed, stressing that the statute allows such an expansion and that consumers should not be burdened with figuring out their providers’ billing practices before seeking care.
