FDA chief-nominee Robert Califf says that, if confirmed to lead the agency, he would work to publish FDA’s highly anticipated, long-delayed regulatory proposal to allow certain prescription drugs be sold over the counter. The agency is under pressure to publish the proposal, which HHS says is key to the Biden administration’s efforts to lower health care prices and increase access to drugs.
