House Democratic leaders early Wednesday lacked the votes needed to pass their drug pricing bill (H.R. 3) out of the Energy & Commerce Committee, and Democrats in the Senate gave no indication on Tuesday (Sept. 14) that they are on the cusp releasing their alternative Medicare drug price negotiation bill, despite the Sept. 15 deadline for Senate committees to finish writing their parts of reconciliation legislation.
