Texas wants a federal district court to stop CMS from walking back a 10-year extension of the state’s uncompensated care demonstration program, but CMS says the earlier decision by the Trump administration to waive Texas’s notice-and-comment requirements before approving the extension was illegal and the recission is necessary to correct course.
