Experts Call For BARDA ‘Disease X’ Effort To Prepare For Next Pandemic

Experts from the Biotechnology Innovation Organization and Johns Hopkins want Congress to boost funding and resources for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority so the office can implement a so-called Disease X program that would accelerate development of medical countermeasures for previously unidentified infectious disease threats.
