Democrats Ask HHS To Restore ACA’s Sex Discrimination Protections

A group of nine Senate Democrats, led by Senate health committee ranking Democrat Patty Murray (WA), asked HHS Secretary Alex Azar to scrap the Trump administration’s rule that rolls back the Affordable Care Act’s gender discrimination protections. The request, on Wednesday (July 8) , comes on the heels of the Supreme Court’s decision that sex discrimination protections include protections for the LGBTQ+ community.
