Trump Budget Includes Drug Policies That Could Be Accomplished Administratively

The president's budget request includes drug-price chopping policies that CMS could accomplish administratively, including proposals to let groups of states negotiate prices using closed formularies and to change the reimbursement of doctors who administer drugs. The budget also includes several legislative proposals, including proposals to overhaul Part D that are politically unpopular. Since Congress can ignore presidential budget requests, the policies that can be accomplished administratively are particularly noteworthy.
