Colorado 1332 Waiver Bill Would Open Catastrophic Plans To All Residents

Colorado lawmakers from both parties have introduced legislation asking the state to seek a 1332 wavier that would grant all residents access to catastrophic coverage in 2019 instead of limiting those products to certain consumers per the Affordable Care Act. The legislation is sponsored in the state house by Democratic Rep. Chris Kennedy, who is continuing to work on legislation that would create a reinsurance program using a 1332 waiver.
