Medicaid Directors Look To Restrict Eligibility, Reduce Opioid Abuse In 2018

Despite uncertainty about what federal changes might come to the Medicaid program, Medicaid directors from 50 states and D.C. noted in a Kaiser Family Foundation survey released Thursday (Oct. 19) that states made significant efforts to expand and reform their programs in fiscal 2017, and are looking to rework them through waivers, expanded home-based care, and efforts to curb opioid abuse in fiscal 2018.
