A large Virginia hospital system will soon launch a pilot program to allow nurses to assist patients virtually from within their hospital room -- and because of the cost burdens of travel nurses and overtime pay during the pandemic, similar programs are likely to pop up around the country, though interstate licensure remains a barrier.
